Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect on this site, why we collect it, with whom we share it and what rights you have over it. It is drafted in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, and with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

1. Who we are

The site ndlcanada.com is operated by GROUP NDL Inc., which carries on business in Canada under the name NDL Canada. Our operations are divided into three divisions: Group NDL for industrial sourcing, NDL Tek for stainless steel tanks and brewing systems, and NDL Keg for stainless steel kegs.

2. Privacy Officer

The Privacy Officer at GROUP NDL Inc. oversees compliance with this policy and handles requests for access, rectification and withdrawal of consent.

3. Information we collect

When you complete a quote request, contact or newsletter form, we collect the information you enter in it:

• Your name and your company name

• Your email address and your telephone number

• The division concerned, the type of project and the quantities involved

• The content of your message

• The files you attach to a quote request, including technical drawings in PDF, DWG, STEP, JPG or PNG format

While you browse, and only if you have accepted analytics cookies, we also collect:

• Your IP address, truncated by our analytics tool

• The type and language of your browser, and the type of device

• The pages you view and the time you spend on them

• The site or the advertisement that brought you to us

4. Why we collect it

• To respond to your request and to contact you about it

• To assess the feasibility of your project and produce a quotation, which requires sending your specifications to our project managers and to our suppliers in Asia

• To follow up on your order and provide after sales service

• To send you our newsletter, if and only if you have subscribed to it

• To understand how the site is used and measure the effectiveness of our advertisements, if you have accepted the corresponding cookies

• To prevent fraud and automated submissions by bots

5. Consent

By sending us a form, you consent to our using the information it contains for the purposes described above. Analytics and advertising cookies are placed only after your explicit agreement, given in the banner displayed on your first visit. You may change or withdraw that choice at any time through the cookie management icon at the bottom left of every page. Withdrawing your consent has no retroactive effect on processing already carried out.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use three categories of cookies:

• Essential. Required for the site to function, in particular to remember your cookie choice. They cannot be disabled and are not used for any tracking.

• Analytics. Google Analytics 4, to understand which pages are viewed. Placed only with your agreement.

• Advertising. Google Ads, to measure whether an advertisement led to a quote request. Placed only with your agreement.

No analytics or advertising script is loaded before your consent. If you decline, the cookies already placed by those services are deleted. You may also configure your browser to block cookies, which may affect certain functions of the site.

7. With whom your information is shared

We never sell your personal information. We rely on the following service providers, each for a specific purpose:

• Netlify. Hosting of the site and receipt of form submissions. Servers in the United States.

• Google. Analytics 4 for audience measurement, Google Ads for advertisement measurement, and reCAPTCHA to block automated submissions. Servers in the United States and in Ireland.

• Cloudinary. Delivery of the site's images and videos. Servers in the United States.

• Microsoft 365. Receipt and retention of our emails, including those generated by your form submissions.

• Our project managers and our suppliers in Asia. Only the technical specifications required to price your project, and only when you ask us for a quotation.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to assert our rights in the event of a dispute.

8. Disclosure outside Quebec

Your information is disclosed outside Quebec. Our technical service providers are established in the United States and in Ireland, and our engineering, quality control and project management teams are located in China. Before each such disclosure, we carry out the privacy impact assessment required by Quebec law, and we govern the disclosure by a written agreement. These countries do not necessarily offer protection equivalent to that of Quebec. By sending us a quote request, you agree that the information strictly necessary to process it may be disclosed in this manner.

9. How long we keep it

• Quote and contact requests with no follow up: three years from the last exchange, then destruction

• Active client files: for the duration of the business relationship, then seven years, in order to meet our accounting and tax obligations

• Technical files you send us: until the end of the project, or three years if the project does not proceed

• Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe

• Analytics data: fourteen months, the maximum period configured in our tool

10. How we protect it

The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Access to the forms we receive is limited to the members of our team who need it, through individual accounts. The forms are protected against automated submissions by a honeypot field and a captcha. We maintain a register of confidentiality incidents. In the event of an incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we promptly notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the persons concerned.

11. Your rights

• Access the information we hold about you

• Have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous

• Withdraw your consent to its use

• Request the de-indexing and cessation of dissemination of that information, where the law allows it

• Receive the information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format, or request that it be transmitted to a third party

Write to support@groupndl.ca to exercise any of these rights. We respond within thirty days. We may ask you for proof of identity before acting on your request.

12. If our response does not satisfy you

Address your complaint first to our Privacy Officer, at the address above. If our response does not satisfy you, you may bring the matter before the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (Quebec information access commission), at cai.gouv.qc.ca. For activities under the federal regime, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, at priv.gc.ca.

13. Minors

This site is intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information concerning a person under fourteen years of age. If you believe this has occurred, write to us and we will delete that information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may amend this policy to reflect a change in our practices or in the law. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page. In the event of a significant change, we will inform you on the site.
